The Coconut Crab / Ketam Kenari

A few years ago (2008) when I was assigned in Gag Island, Raja Ampat, Papua (see my posting: http://budipatria.blogspot.com/2008/12/gag-island.html), I was very surprised find coconut crab there, cause i never see it before. It look like indonesian peoples said "umang - umang or keong"  but with big size and without home.

Weda Bay

A few minutes ago just chat with my friend, he told to me just coming back travelling from China, and several months ahead will going to London, he invited me to join, but i think it's needs a lot of money for travelling there.

"Gak usah jauh-jauh kalau jalan-jalan, indonesia saja belum kelar semuanya di puterin" I replied

especially eastern Indonesia have a beautiful sea and landscape.

And recall my trip to Weda Bay, in halmahera (2007), many beautiful places can be visited there, especially the sea landscape

It's Sunday..

It’s Sunday, 6:12 AM. My laptop screen shows the time, and here I am, sitting quietly in front of it at the clinic, doing nothing. Suddenly, I realize: "Hey, why not start blogging?"

Okay, that thought isn’t really important. But what is mildly irritating is that a friend of mine just broadcast the same message three times in a row. Annoying? Yes. Important? Not at all.

This week has been a little complicated. Work extended for an extra week because we had to switch ships due to an issue with one of the medics on another vessel. Apparently, there was some conflict between the medic and the chief cook over trivial matters.
